Gift Ideas for Your Nurse Preceptor

Do you have an awesome nurse preceptor where a thank you just doesn’t feel like enough? Well keep scrolling because these are some of the best gifts to give your nurse preceptor!

Coffee

Anything coffee related is always a good idea. Whether that be a Starbucks gift card, a roast from your favorite coffee shop, or a mug for them to put their coffee in at work, your preceptor is sure to love it!

Water Bottle/Tumbler

Along the same lines as the coffee mug, it’s always important to stay hydrated and most nurses carry some sort of water bottle, so why not get them a cute one?!

Nursing Tote Bag

Nurses always have a bunch of stuff to carry so if you see your preceptor with an old tote bag or backpack, you can always get them a new one! A big lunch box will also work!

Badge Reel

You can never have to many badge reels and one from a student nurse is such a thoughtful gift! Plus there’s so many to choose from, you really can’t go wrong.

Socks

Socks are always a fun idea for any nurse. Be sure to see if they’re into compression socks or what type of socks they usually wear to work and grab them a cute new pair!

Relaxation Kit

Nurses are always on the go, so any sort of relaxation gift is another awesome idea. Whether that be a nice smelling candle, aromatherapy, a bath bomb, or a cozy blanket!

Lotion and Chapstick

This one may seem funny but after hand sanitizing and hand washing all shift long your preceptors hands are going to get dry and inevitably so are their lips. Gift them a soothing hand lotion and chapstick, this is something they’re definitely going to use.

Food Gift Basket

Any sort of food gift basket is perfect if you’re thanking the whole unit rather than just one nurse. You can bring in donuts, a box of chocolate, or even just some snacky food, like granola bars and fruit snacks!
